I always find a use in the useless. By repurposing materials, I avoid both waste and clutter. Vintage represents this overlap of old becoming new again. It’s composed of textile scraps, leftover paint and wood from old furniture. The natural color and drapery of these vintage materials evoke a sense of formal elegance. The pattern of boxes and sharp corners remind us of history and tradition. The unconventional opening, scribly patterns and imperfect lines and edges evoke a sense of freedom and authenticity.
